I like your basing argument and, even better, its results. I have done something similar to get variety in irregular units (Ottomans) , it works well and saves some time. I'm looking forward to seeing your cavalry.
Jim Jiminhohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15163197311165054930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30139647.post-7031137929293692162014-09-18T11:38:11.984-07:002014-09-18T11:38:11.984-07:00A note on my painting:

Then I would paint one of the pants on each stick a color.

This resulted in a good mix of color within the unit (no two figures of the same type being quite the same).

-- Jeff
Bluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05171345165563779232noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30139647.post-87051312511276619302014-09-18T07:05:36.542-07:002014-09-18T07:05:36.542-07:00Great looking regiments, love these colors!Great looking regiments, love these colors!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08913029478686087197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30139647.post-71929265599990859032014-09-18T06:50:10.820-07:002014-09-18T06:50:10.820-07:00I think the basing works nicely.
