So there I was, sitting at my computer when all of a sudden my head felt funny. My balance was off. I felt wobbly . . . like my inner ear wasn't working. This went on for a good 30 seconds or more.

Earthquakes are funny things in that it really depends upon underlying terrain as to how much or how little one feels. Apparently some folks a hundred miles farther east felt it more strongly than we did.
I am in Courtenay, BC, Canada . . . on the east side of Vancouver Island (which is different from Vancouver -- which is on the mainland, not on the island). Click on the above image for a slightly better view.
Again, there is no damage to my toy soldiers.

Whew! Relieved to hear you (and your toys) are all doing fine..
Reich Duke Wilhelm is very pleased to hear mother nature passed you by...
I hope you do as well as my brother outside Fredricksburg, VA. He has found no dammage other than a few pictures fell off the piano. A week later he had the Huricane's rain and wind to deal with. 2 disasters down and no dammage, may you only have the shaking and not the drenching.

Good to hear no damage sustained!
That is very good news, Jeff; the stories of colleagues in NZ are quite chilling and sad and I am glad that you don't have a similar story to tell. The recent hurricane passed right overhead here, but only after it had spent its force on folks further south. It is a string of calamities these days, it seems.

Glad to hear your safe and well, your blogs are a great read and as I am in earthquake Christchurch, NZ sad to hear you had to endure one aswell.
I thought of you the first I heard of the 'quake. Glad to know you and yours are fine.
Glad to hear it Jeff, I thought about you as soon as I heard the news but was relievd to hear that there were no reports of damage and no risk of tsunami. Still, just as well to be tucked a way inside of the island.
Will there be a corresponding tremor in the campaign?
glad to hear you are fine...
Delighted to know you are unscathed.
