Getting Better --

The good news is that I'm doing a lot better than I was. My gout has let up a considerable amount and I can now get around the house with a cane . . . I was barely able to move with a walker for a number of days. Oh, my foot still hurts a lot (and I'm still keeping a rigid schedule of pain relief) . . . but it is waaaay better than it was.

The bad news is that my computer is still down (I'm typing this on my wife's machine) . . . and is likely to remain so through mid-week at least. Between my gout and his work schedule, the friend who is helping me won't be available before then . . . *sigh* . . . so no email for a few more days . . . but at least my foot feels a lot better.

PS, my grateful "thanks" to all of you who wished me a quick recovery . . . I truly DO appreciate it.

Maybe not a quick recovery, but at least you are moving forward. I am glad to hear that, especially hoping that the pain continues to ease off.

best regards

Thank you, Gentlemen.

John, yes the pain has decreased quite a bit (even though it is still nasty). I definitely feel that I'm "on the mend".

I certainly feel for all of those historic figures who had to continue campaigning without the aid of modern painkillers.

When gout is is full operation even the air hurts. I can remember one bout years ago when I tripped . . . and my body wouldn't let my gouty foot break the fall.

Gout is nasty!

Sounds most awful Jeff. But good to hear its easing a bit.

Indeed, your input is missed!
Still haven't heard how Lewd Wig the Vile responds to the Duchess's indecent proposal?

Take care of yourself ...
constant pain can really affect one's life, I know. the sooner you're feeling better, the more effective these blogs will be I suspect!

A swift and hopefully painless recovery to you, Jeff.

here's to hoping the pain meds permit you to put brush to metal at least.
