Cautious Optimism ---

The new antibiotic (Levaquin) that the doctor put me on seems to be getting the upper hand on my pneumonia. As my sife says, I'm breathing a lot more easily and not coughing nearly as much.

Of course as soon as I try to do anything (like walk to the next room) I run out of breath . . . but not as badly as before.

My thanks to all of you who have wished me well and a speedy recovery.

PS, it is a good thing that I'd purchased a gift and a card before I got sick. Today is my wife's birthday and I was able to give her something even though I've not been out (except to see the doctor) for close to two weeks.

Good to hear there's improvement! Good planning on the birthday stuff! Even though she surely would've understood if you hadn't been able to do much it's still good to be able to do as much as you can to celebrate a loved one's special occasion, huh?

Take care of yourself.
I've had to endure pneumonia so many times, I'm sensitive to the symptoms of several varieties in others.
That terrible weakness lasts for at least a couple of weeks even after the disease is theoretically "CURED"

Indeed, by poor ma in law came down with a bad case after she'd
sheltered all of us in that ice storm. So don't push yourself for a while, okay?

Many regards ...
A
