A Few Thoughts on "Fog of War" --

I am a gamer who appreciates a lot of "Fog of War" in my games. I also like lots of "command and control" problems.

That is why my "Tricorne Wars" rules will have a number of mechanisms to encourage these.

In the coming weeks I hope to detail some of them . . . but not today (it was a bear of a day and I'm tired).

Instead, for your viewing enjoyment, here's another shot of some Swedish cavalry.

Jeff,

What brand are the figures painted as Swedes in this latest photo? 25mm size presumably? How do you paint your horses.

Although I enjoy producing well painted equines, this is always the most tedious and least interesting part of painting a cavalry regiment or brigade -- especially the reins and harnesses. I've finally started doing all of that first and THEN painting the more interesting troopers. What are your thoughts?

Best Regards,

Stokes Schwartz

Stokes,

Yes, the figures are 25mm. They are Blood Axe Miniatures, which are no longer in production (at least as of the last I heard). A fellow in Oregon, Lance Runolfsson, was the sculptor/caster.

See my next post for a description of how I paint horses.
